Morty is a One.  He's been laboring his entire life, but finally it's his sixtieth birthday.  Time for him to retire his old body and travel up through the clouds to the White City where he'll begin his new life as a One-Two.  He'll be given a new body and anything he wants as reward for his service.  But once Processing begins, things don't go exactly as planned.  Can Morty figure out the secret before he is lost in the System all over again?

My Opinion
Mortimus Walker and the Secret of The White City is a pretty short story and I finished it in a couple hours. Morty lives in a world where they live a life as either a One or a Two. A number One works their entire life until they are 60 and then they retire and get to live a brand new life with a brand new body. I was a little confused with the numbers but I think a Two pretty much gets anything they want. Every thing seems to be going great for Morty he gets to choose how he will look in his new life and what he wants to do. It seems he will get everything he wants in his new life and even meets a girl named Patty that he falls in love with and plans to share his life with. The whole time I was reading I was just thinking "wow lucky Morty things are going great for him" until I got to the ending. The ending really surprised me. This is a good quick story to read.

Today is Zach's birthday! Happy birthday to Zach!
