But Gilbert soon finds out it’s not all fun and games. Not only is Aoleon’s arch nemesis, Charm Lepton, determined to make sure that Aoleon doesn’t make it through the psiball game, but Gilbert also comes under attack when a mysterious force attempts to control him.

My opinion:
Part 2 of Aoleon and Gilbert's adventure starts off really good. Aoleon paints Gilbert blue so he doesn't stand out while she shows him around Mars. Somehow Gilbert gets the attention of the Luminess, who is the wife of Luminon the Martian leader, and she tries to control him so Aoleon and Gilbert have to run away and escape again. The rest of the book wasn't as exciting as the first book. Aoleon takes Gilbert home and introduces him to her family. The next day she takes him to her school where he meets some of Aoleons classmates and learns a little Martian history. After school Gilbert watches Aoleon play a game called psi-ball.
I was hoping for more action but part 2 was mostly about what living in Mars is like. Some of the names are pretty strange like Ptolemy, Xanthe, Phaethontis and Plutarch Xenocrates. There are some funny parts just like in the first book and the pictures are very helpful. I think I would enjoy this book so much more as an audiobook so I could hear how to say all the names but then I would miss out on the pictures. I did like this book but I am hoping Part 3 has a lot more action. I give this book 3 stars.
